Principal's Message
Dear Students and Families of Bancroft Elementary,
Welcome to the 2025-2026 school year! As I begin my first year at Bancroft, I'm excited to learn alongside our students, staff, and families about what makes our community special.
Throughout the interview process and the time I’ve been able to spend learning
alongside Mrs. McComsey and our front office staff, pride has been a constant feeling and theme I’ve noticed. I am honored to continue building on the strong foundation that has been established since the doors to Bancroft Elementary opened fifteen years ago. I've had the chance to explore our beautiful building during the summer, but I cannot wait to see and hear the building come alive with the sights and sounds of learning and laughter!
This handbook has been thoughtfully prepared to help familiarize you with our
school's policies, procedures, and daily routines. Many of the guidelines outlined have been designed with your child's safety and well-being in mind, as well as to support the smooth and effective operation of our school. By working together and following these procedures, we can ensure a nurturing, engaging, and successful school experience for every student.
At Bancroft Elementary, we strive to model the following five expectations in all we do: Be Respectful, Be Responsible, Be Safe, Be Kind, and Always Be the BEST that I can be! These expectations guide our daily interactions, and we appreciate all members of our school community reinforcing and modeling this message.
As we embark on this new school year, thank you for your trust and commitment. I look forward to being part of the Bancroft learning experience and discovering together all the wonderful things this year will bring.
Sincerely,
Gerry Weinhardt
Building Principal
