About Us

Bancroft Elementary School is home-away-from-home to approximately 400 first through fifth grade students in Chester County’s Kennett Consolidated School District (KCSD).

The elementary years are a time when students begin to develop feelings of competence and confidence.

Built in 2011, the building features many spaces that inspire a love for learning among all students.

Responsive Classroom trained, our elementary staff also play a vital role in the development process. They support our students as they learn skills that will shape their understanding of the world and themselves.

In addition to individualized instruction in the core areas of language arts, math, reading, science and social studies, students at Bancroft explore art, music, physical education and more!

We are also proud to offer comprehensive support services including in english language development (ELD), gifted education, guidance, hearing therapy, mental health counseling, nursing, occupational therapy, physical therapy, special education and speech therapy!

Bancroft Bears work together and play together to continue their strong bond as a community.

All who enter follow these four school rules:

  • Be Respectful
  • Be Responsible
  • Be Safe
  • Be Kind and
  • Always be the best that I can be!

We look forward to seeing what you contribute to our community!
