Bancroft Buddy Day

Friday, September 15 was our first Bancroft buddy day. Once a month, each homeroom will meet with another homeroom and have a morning meeting together. A morning meeting consists of four components: greeting, message, share and activity . Students will build relationships, collaborate and complete engaging activities with students in different grade levels.

Instrument Information Night – 3rd, 4th and 5th graders

Instrument Information Night at the High School is on September 14th at 6:30pm
This event is for 3rd, 4th, and 5th Grade Parents and Students. Come meet the orchestra and band teachers and learn about the elementary instrumental music program! There will also be a representative from Music and Arts there to answer questions about their rental program. All students received a sign-up packet at school to bring home and it also linked below for your convenience.

Scholastic Book Fair 6/6 to 6/8

The final book fair will take place from June 6-8. Please see the attached picture below to see when your child’s class is attending the book fair.

5th grade Wax Museum

On Friday, May, 19 all 5th Grade students performed their “Living Wax Museum” project to other grade levels, staff, and parents. Students dressed up as their famous individual and gave a speech to visitors.

For the past few months, students have researched about one historical figure from history and their contributions to society.

Rainbow Trout

On Wednesday, May, 17 all third grade students released 50 healthy rainbow trout at the White Clay Creek. They learned about macroinvertebrate with the help of Officer Rae from the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission and Park Ranger Gary Stolz. Thanks to to the PA Fish and Boat Commission and Trout Unlimited for this wonderful conservation program.

Delaware Museum of Nature & Science Mobile Field Trip

The Delaware Museum of Nature & Science came and visited all 1st grade classes at Bancroft! Students learned about the traits of a plant, female and male birds and all students created their own birds using a variety of materials. At the end of April, 1st grade will take a field trip to Delaware Museum of Nature & Science and learn more about the Cycle of Life.
