Ms. Craig’s Class Learns about different Holidays Around the World

This week the students in C6 have been learning about the different holidays celebrated around the world. We spent time learning about Kwanza and the Kinara. Kwanza is based on seven principles, many of them we celebrate in our classroom daily, like umoja (unity) and kuumba (creativity). We also learned about the history of La Posada, the Christmas tree and poinsettias. We had a chance to share the different traditions that our families have during the holiday season and celebrate the uniqueness and diversity within our classroom!
