Student Highlight: Bancroft After School Sports
Bancroft Elementary School’s After School Sports meets on Wednesdays with Mrs. Kamber Real and Mrs. Mallory Smith. The group plays sports and games that work on team building, sportsmanship, and fitness. Some of the games they play are capture the flag, kickball, dodge-ball, ultimate Frisbee, and basketball. It is a great way to participate in physical exercise, while learning how to get along with others and meet new friends.

Snowflakes Decorate Bancroft Great Lobby
Once again students at Bancroft Elementary School will decorate the school’s Great Lobby with personalized snowflakes. Please see flyer below for full instructions about this annual holiday event.

American Education Week Grand Finale Door Tour
Bancroft Elementary School students toured the school to observe the wonderfully decorated doors. Each teacher chose their favorite book as the theme for their door decorations. Please watch the gallery slide show above to see each amazing door.
Bancroft Celebrates American Education Week
This week Bancroft students will celebrate American Education Week with exciting activities each day. See attached flyer below for each days events.
Fifth Grade Teachers Lead Bancroft All School Morning Meeting
Bancroft Elementary School’s fifth grade teachers led our Morning Meeting as several classes recited poems, sang songs, and even performed a dance for the entire school. The Bancroft Bear made an appearance to remind students how to be respectful, responsible, safe, and to always be the best they can be everyday.
Bancroft Students Vote in CCIU Kids Voting
Bancroft Elementary School students voted in the Chester County Intermediate Unit’s Kids Voting with Double Click Democracy online. The school’s library media center was the polling place and looked very patriotic. After receiving a mini-lesson on the protocols of voting by Mr. David Livergood, the school’s Library Media Specialist and Kids Voting Coordinator, the students actually voted via the Kids Voting online website. Mindfulness Club Teaches Students About Themselves
Bancroft Elementary School’s Mindfulness Club is a group of 25 students in grades 3-5. The group practices yoga through mindfulness, meditation, and journaling. The students share and discuss ways to be kind to themselves and those around them as they learn to understand their mind and body through movement.
A Job Well Done by Bancroft’s Principal for the Day
A Bancroft Elementary School fifth grade student served as Principal for the Day this past week. He followed Bancroft Principal, Mrs. McComsey, around the entire day and experienced all that being a principal position involves.
